J.D. Vance on Republicans’ midterm election defeat: War in Iran and cost of living played a role

U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance cited the war in Iran and a lack of attention to the cost of living among the main reasons for the Republicans’ defeat in the midterm elections.

In a post on X, he said the Republicans’ election result was affected by involvement in the conflict with Iran, as well as by their failure to focus on citizens’ economic concerns.

Vance’s comments come as the economy, and rising living costs in particular, remain a major concern for Americans.
