Begaj begins consultations with parties on local elections

President Bajram Begaj has invited political parties to talks on the upcoming local elections.

According to an initial invitation, consultations will begin on October 30, 2026. The meetings will be held at the Palace of Brigades, selected by the head of state.

Begaj is acting under Article 92 of the Constitution.

The elections are expected to be held on one of the first Sundays in May 2027, after the president issues the official decree.
