Early parliamentary elections in Serbia will be held on October 25, 2026, after President Aleksandar Vučić called them on September 9. With this decision, the electoral process has now entered its official phase.

In an interview with the newspaper “Bota sot,” analyst Nehat Hyseni spoke about the need for greater political cooperation among Albanians in the Presheva Valley. According to him, agreements between the parties must not remain merely declarations, but should bring concrete benefits to citizens.
Hyseni explains that electoral unity does not necessarily constitute full political unity. He believes that respecting the agreements reached and assuming responsibility after the elections are also important.
Turning to relations with Kosovo, the analyst considers support from Pristina important, but emphasizes that priorities must stem from the needs of Albanians in Presheva, Bujanoc and Medvegjë.
According to him, the interests of the Valley cannot be determined solely by the agendas of Kosovo’s political parties. Cooperation with Kosovo, Hyseni stresses, should be measured through verifiable results, while the responsibility of local representatives must not be replaced.
He calls on Albanian parties to focus on protecting national rights, education in the Albanian language, employment, economic development and stopping depopulation.
Hyseni notes that citizens expect more than patriotic declarations: they are seeking concrete solutions, clearly defined objectives and accountability from institutions.
Regarding the joint Albanian coalition, the analyst says its success will be determined by the level of cooperation among its partners and their ability to implement their commitments.
He sees turning votes into real and effective representation as the main challenge. According to Hyseni, elected representatives must be accountable to citizens and demonstrate through concrete results that they are defending the interests of the Albanians of the Valley.
