The report for the first six months was presented by RTK Board Deputy Chair Xheraldina Cernobregu. She spoke about the institution’s managerial and financial difficulties following the establishment of the new Board in April this year.

Cernobregu stressed that financial problems and inherited liabilities had affected RTK’s work, including the implementation of capital investments.

Following the presentation, members of the committee asked questions about the public broadcaster’s financial situation. Answers were provided by RTK Director General Zana Spahiu and acting Chief Financial Officer Fetah Gjata.

During the meeting, Spahiu also presented RTK’s expenditure plan for the July–December 2026 period. The document was reviewed by the committee before the decision was made to allocate the funds.

After the discussions concluded, the committee approved the financial report for the first six months of the year and set the amount of €4.48 million for expenses during the second half of the year.

The committee also approved the report containing the recommendations of the Assembly’s permanent committees on the Draft Law amending and supplementing the Law on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism. The draft law has been recommended for a vote at the Assembly session scheduled for tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the review and approval of the committee’s Work Plan for the 2026 autumn session was postponed until the next meeting. The postponement was proposed by Chair Enver Haliti and supported by the committee members.
