Fevziu also reiterated his stance once again, that Berisha should remain only as honorary chairman of the DP.

“I have said he should be honorary chairman and let someone else de facto lead the party,” declared Blendi Fevziu.

He further added: “Berisha’s presence at the helm does not give the DP room for new leadership, but it stays unified because of Berisha. That is why I have said he should stay as honorary chairman.”

“The point is for him to allow competition and not appoint someone else,” declared Fevziu.

Fevziu stressed that because of the numbers Rama has in Parliament, the opposition finds it difficult to do anything. Speaking about the protests, Fevziu said this has put the opposition in an awkward situation.

“The opposition has been in an awkward situation. The protest put the opposition in an awkward position as well. The opposition was protesting about similar things and did not have that support. Suddenly a small incident brought all citizens out onto the streets. Meanwhile, when the opposition organizes, there is not this kind of support. This has left it in a difficult situation. Most protesters draw an equal sign between Rama and Berisha. Which I believe is not fair, but it is their right. By drawing an equal sign, they find it a bit difficult to approach the protest as the opposition. The opposition is also in a difficult situation. Meanwhile, as far as parliament is concerned, with the numbers Rama has, the opposition finds it difficult to do anything,” said Blendi Fevziu on the show “Të Paekspozuarit.”
