According to Kurti, the interstate agreement on handing over this documentation was signed on September 2, 2011, but even after 15 years, Serbia has not made copies available.

Speaking about the delay, he said that more than 15 years had passed without the cadastral documents being handed over. Kurti added that last month marked 15 years since the European Union gave Serbia a donation of 2 million euros, yet Kosovo has not received even a copy of the documentation, let alone the original.

However, the prime minister stressed that this obstacle has not stopped cooperation between Kosovo’s institutions and civil society to improve cadastral services and resolve citizens’ property issues.

In closing, Kurti said that the Cadastral Agency, the government, ministries, including the one responsible for spatial planning, state institutions and civil society are coordinating their work to do the best they can for the citizens of the Republic, despite the difficulties and challenges.
