Prime Minister Edi Rama said in Parliament that the justice reform has produced two important results: the Special Structure Against Corruption and the Special Court.

Rama stressed that, although these institutions face problems, SPAK and GJKKO remain, in his view, the reform’s most concrete results. At the same time, he criticized the High Prosecutorial Council and the High Judicial Council.
“I see two successes in the justice reform: SPAK and GJKKO, with all the problems they have. Two successes,” Rama said.
Referring to the two councils, the prime minister said that the reform’s failure was specifically linked to KLP and KLGJ.
“And if there is one reason for the Albanian Parliament to be concerned, it is precisely to reflect on the justice reform. And not on that part of the reform that has become the main refrain every single day: ‘Prison, prison, prison, prison, prison!’, but on that part of the reform that is the refrain of the lives of those tens of thousands of people who have been turned into files covered in dust,” the prime minister said.
