A FlyDubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv was urgently diverted to Saudi Arabia following a violent confrontation between two pilots, CNN reported, citing its sources.

During the flight, the aircraft descended rapidly and lost around 17,000 meters in altitude in just over two minutes. The crew then issued a distress signal.
According to an Israeli official, the incident is not believed to have been a hijacking, but rather an internal incident involving personnel on board.
After the signal was received, Israeli fighter jets were scrambled. Israel’s prime minister and defense minister also held consultations regarding the security situation.
The aircraft is expected to land in Saudi Arabia, where the authorities will examine the circumstances of the incident.
