The representative of the United States of America to the United Nations declared that Washington continues to support peace and stability in the Western Balkans, underscoring the need for reconciliation between Kosovo and Serbia.

She said that US President Donald Trump values both countries and wants the region to have peace, stability and prosperity.
During her statement, the US representative called on Kosovo and Serbia to exercise restraint, take concrete measures to build trust and ensure stability, and participate constructively in the dialogue mediated by the European Union.
“A sustainable solution and long-term progress will depend on Pristina and Belgrade, not the Security Council,” she said.
Regarding the Security Council sessions on Kosovo, she said that the United States’ position on their number remains unchanged.
