Tragedy with 3 victims in Shkodër: Bodies were found close together! 1-year-old child found burned in his mother’s arms

More details have emerged from the tragic event a day earlier, where a mother and her two children were burned inside an abandoned house in the village of Domen, Postribë, Shkodër.

Sources close to the investigation team say that the three bodies of the victims were found very close to each other, charred by the flames.

At the moment the fire broke out, it is believed that the mother tried to protect her children and was unable to get out. The 1-year-old boy was found in his mother’s arms, while the other child was nearby.

Police and firefighters, as evidence in this event so far considered accidental, have also found a fragment of a small gas cylinder, a camping gas canister, which has been seized as material evidence.

Along with the small canister, the investigation team also found the bed spring that was inside the house, while everything else was reduced to ashes by the flames.

Meanwhile, outside the house were the bags with which the Çelaj family had gone to their old home.

These material evidence items found will be sent to Tirana for expert examination to provide a later answer that will serve this investigation.

The children’s father and husband of the 24-year-old woman who burned inside has stated that they also had a bottle of gasoline with them, which they had taken for some repairs and cleaning, and that they needed it.

He stated that he had stopped at a market to buy some things for the family, and when he was not there, the house caught fire, causing the mother and the two minors to burn inside.

The main suspicion so far from the investigation team is that the mother may have tried to light the gas cylinder to cook, and at that moment, due to a gas leak, there may have been an explosion.

There is also the possibility that the two young children may have been asleep at the time the fire broke out.

The fact that no one else was there and that the house has no other dwellings around meant that the fire was not noticed in time, causing the three victims to lose their lives.

The lack of a timely notification and the rugged mountainous terrain were fatal in this serious event.

The Çelaj family lived in Germany and had German documents; they had come a few days earlier for vacation.

They decided to go to the old house to clean it and stay there for a few hours, but everything turned into a tragedy that shocked public opinion.
