Laboratory tests conducted by the Food and Veterinary Agency have also detected the presence of palm oil in products made by the Vita dairy company, acting Agriculture Minister Armend Muja said.

According to him, the company’s owners have not disputed the finding either.
At a press conference, Muja said the dairy company had placed products on the market that were packaged and sold as milk, even though they contained palm oil and, in certain cases, powdered milk.
“There is not the slightest doubt. The entities subject to inspection are handled by us, and they are licensed to operate in the dairy sector. The use of palm oil in the products has not been disputed even by the companies themselves. It has been established that the Vita dairy company placed products on the market that were packaged and marketed as milk, but which essentially contain palm oil and, in some cases, powdered milk,” he said.
Muja stressed that all identified violations will be processed in accordance with the law.
