“There is no dismissal of Abdixhiku or anyone else. We will discuss the latest result and other topics,” Azemi said briefly.
At the same time, Sibel Halimi, also a member of the LDK Presidency, said before the meeting that she had not signed the initiative to remove Lumir Abdixhiku from the leadership of the party.
She explained that the meeting would address the election result and the issue of forming institutions, while leaving open the possibility that this topic could also be discussed under various items.
Halimi: I have not signed it
“I have not signed it. I believe responsibility should be taken by all sides within the LDK, and I believe that only the engagement of the LDK chairman is not sufficient. We have the agenda and we will discuss the issue of the election result, as well as issues related to the formation of institutions, and of course we will discuss many other issues for the party. On the agenda we do not have such items, and the last item on the agenda is miscellaneous, and I believe we will discuss it there,” she said.
A few days ago, KosovaPress reported that the collection of signatures had begun within the Democratic League of Kosovo to call an extraordinary party assembly, following the poor result in the most recent elections.
According to KosovaPress sources from one of the LDK branches and from delegates who have already given their signatures, the number of signatures collected so far is around 150, while it is known that the LDK has a total of 355 delegates.
