Vetëvendosje Movement MP Arbëreshë Kryeziu-Hyseni said the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) is not in a position to set conditions for talks on the president. She was referring to PDK’s position that the talks cannot take place until amendments to the Law on the Specialist Chambers have been voted on.

In a statement to the media, Kryeziu-Hyseni described the issue of the president as very important to how Kosovo moves forward. She said the vote on the law should not be made a condition for starting talks. She called for personal interests to be set aside, although she said that appeared impossible for these parties, and added that PDK was the last party in a position to impose such conditions.
Meanwhile, PDK MP Eman Rrahmani said the law on the Specialist Chambers is the top priority at the moment. He said the law should be addressed first, followed by other steps, because nothing is more important for MPs than ensuring a fair trial.
