An accident occurred on “Rruga e Lumit,” along the promenade in the city of Berat. A 35-year-old man, who was traveling at speed on a motorbike on this road, struck a Dutch tourist, citizen V.J., 53, at a pedestrian crossing.
The tourist was crossing from one side of the road to the other together with a group of tourists when he was hit by the motorbike. The injured man was transported by ambulance to Berat Regional Hospital, where, after receiving medical treatment, he is out of danger and under the care of doctors.

Officers from the Road Traffic Sector at Berat Local Police Directorate carried out investigative actions at the scene and escorted the motorbike driver, 35-year-old B.M., a resident of Berat, to the police station.
