On Thursday, investigators from the Directorate for the Investigation of War Crimes arrested a person with the authorization of the Special Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kosovo, as part of the ongoing investigation into events in Zubin Potok.

The detainee, identified as R.K., is suspected of committing the criminal offense of “war crimes against the civilian population” and has been placed in 48-hour detention.
According to the official announcement, the Special Prosecutor’s Office will submit a request to the Basic Court in Pristina for the imposition of pretrial detention within the deadline stipulated by the Criminal Procedure Code, while further investigative actions will be carried out in cooperation with the police authorities.
The Special Prosecutor’s Office and the Kosovo Police have reiterated their commitment to investigating and prosecuting all persons suspected of crimes committed during the conflict in Kosovo.
