Investigators from the War Crimes Investigation Directorate arrested a person on Thursday as part of an investigation into war crimes in Zubin Potok. The arrest was carried out on the orders of the Special Prosecution Office of the Republic of Kosovo (SPRK).

The news was confirmed in a joint statement by the Kosovo Police and the Special Prosecution Office.
According to the statement, the arrested person, identified by the initials R.K., is suspected of the criminal offense of “War crimes against the civilian population.” He was ordered to be held for 48 hours.
The SPRK announced that, within the legal deadline stipulated by the Criminal Procedure Code, it will ask the Basic Court in Pristina to order his pretrial detention. At the same time, the necessary investigative steps will continue in coordination with police investigators. The Special Prosecution Office and the Kosovo Police reiterated their commitment to investigating and prosecuting all individuals who may have committed crimes during the war in Kosovo.
