Further details have emerged about the double murder in Nea Smyrni, Athens, where 48-year-old Altin Allmuça killed his former partner, 45-year-old Julieta Obzova, and then took his own life.

According to the testimony of a relative of the victim, the 48-year-old is suspected of having sent the woman a photograph showing him holding a gun and pointing it at her head.

The man had also tried to contact his former partner’s brother. The latter had refused to meet him, asking him to stop interfering in his relationship with his former partner and not to bother her family.
Warnings before the incident
The testimonies of the 48-year-old’s family members are also considered important to the investigation. According to them, he had warned his daughter and wife that he was preparing to do “something big,” without providing any specific details.
He had told his daughter that he might no longer be by her side in the days ahead. Meanwhile, he had handed his wife all the money he had with him and asked her to look after their child if he was no longer present.
His wife told investigators that she had not understood the reason for these actions. She had seen her husband crying and leaving the home. He spent the night somewhere else, without telling her where he was or what he was doing.
According to the testimonies, this had happened only a few hours before the murder.
The neighbor’s testimony
The testimony of a neighbor, who is suspected of having been an eyewitness to the incident, has also been included in the investigation. He described to the authorities the position and the way in which the bodies of the two people had been found at the scene.

With the suspected perpetrator now dead, criminal proceedings against him have been discontinued, while the investigation continues to fully clarify the course of the tragedy and the circumstances that led to the killing of the 45-year-old woman.
