First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for European Affairs Bekim Sali traveled to Kyiv today to attend the Ukraine – Southeast Europe Summit, an event held as part of Ukraine’s Statehood Day celebrations.

Upon arrival on Ukrainian soil, Minister Sali was received by Oleksandr Mischenko, Deputy Foreign Minister, together with the Ambassador of North Macedonia to Kyiv, Dimitar Blazhevski, and other protocol officials from Ukrainian diplomacy.
The presence of the First Deputy Prime Minister at this forum serves as clear evidence of the unwavering commitment of the Republic of North Macedonia to the Ukrainian state, supporting its sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, as well as its path toward the European Union.
The visit to Kyiv also includes Minister Sali’s participation in the summit’s plenary session, where he will once again emphasize Skopje’s dedication to helping Kyiv and its willingness to offer the knowledge and capacities built up during the EU membership negotiations.
This summit is attended by leaders and high-level delegates from Ukraine and neighboring Balkan states, aiming to deepen regional partnership, provide assistance to Kyiv, and strengthen its European integration objectives.
