On July 12, a 30-year-old man deliberately killed his father in Skopje. According to the information available, following an argument and physical assault that took place at home between his parents, the son took a knife and attacked his father in the yard. He inflicted more than 30 stab wounds to the neck and chest, causing his father to die at the scene.
The Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Skopje has issued an order to initiate an investigative procedure against a person suspected of the criminal offence of murder.

During this stage of the investigation, the public prosecutor plans to carry out several actions aimed at clarifying the exact motives behind the incident. A psychiatric examination of the suspect will also be ordered.
To ensure his presence throughout the criminal proceedings, the public prosecutor has proposed detention for the suspect.
