Minister of Culture and Tourism Zoran Ljutkov has responded to statements made during the debate at the Budget Rebalancing Committee session, stressing that they do not correspond to the official budget documentation.
According to Ljutkov, in politics there may be different readings and interpretations, but facts are not left to interpretation. He underlined that the official rebalancing contains no claims that funds for staff and inspection oversight are being redirected to office equipment, nor that funding for the Film Agency or capital investments is being reduced.

The minister said that through the budget rebalancing, 61 million denars have been planned for the “Skopje – European Capital of Culture 2028” project, while another 200 million denars have been additionally allocated for capital investments.
He said that criticism in a democratic society is necessary and legitimate, but it must be based on facts. According to him, especially when it comes to budget documents, a careful and accurate reading of the official data is required.
Ljutkov also recalled that two weeks ago, at a press conference, the results of the work of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism were presented, which, he says, are backed up by concrete figures./Telegrafi/
