Albanian Road Authority warns of traffic disruption for controlled explosion on the Saranda Bypass

The Albanian Road Authority (ARRSH) announced that on Monday, July 6, 2026, a controlled explosion using explosives will be carried out as part of the construction works for the Saranda Bypass.

According to the ARRSH announcement, the operation will take place near the village of Shën Vasil, in the Volloder quarry area, between 09:00 and 10:00, with the aim of opening a new road route.

The institution explains that the activity has been coordinated with State Police structures, which will be engaged in managing traffic and ensuring the smooth progress of the works without jeopardizing safety.

ARRSH also asks citizens and drivers to show understanding and follow the authorities’ instructions until the process is fully completed.
