Erisa Xhixho, an MP from the Freedom Party, has reacted to the reconstruction project of the “Edith Durham” school, which foresees an investment worth 4.9 million euros.
According to the project data, the school building, which currently has 45 classrooms, will have 40 teaching spaces once the works are completed.

This means that the new structure will no longer have space for five of the existing classrooms.
Xhixho has raised questions about how this project is being managed, also linking it to the prolonged period of shift-based classes and the consequences this situation will have for students, teachers and parents during the two years of reconstruction.
She also questions how an investment of this scale does not lead to an increase in the school’s capacity, but, on the contrary, to its reduction.
