Arben Taravari, chairman of the Alliance for Albanians, publicly called on VLEN to support National Alliance for Integration (AKI) candidate Arkin Jahiji in the second round of elections in Bërvenicë.

During this evening’s “Debat në Shenja” program, Taravari said that the Alliance for Albanians was ready to become actively involved in supporting Jahiji. He proposed that party banners be removed in the second round and that separate campaigns not be conducted.
According to Taravari, Jahiji will certainly advance to the second round. He called on VLEN, together with the Alliance for Albanians, to remove AKI’s banners and engage in support of the candidate, just as the Alliance had done last year for Haqim Ramadani. Taravari said the aim was to focus all attention on Jahiji so that the municipality would be led by someone with institutional experience.
Taravari also spoke about his meeting with DUI chairman Ali Ahmeti. He revealed that approximately one week or 10 days ago, the senior leadership of the Alliance for Albanians and DUI held a meeting to coordinate activities related to the local elections in Bërvenicë. He described the discussion, which addressed organizational issues, as constructive.
Referring to the January 11 vote in Gostivar and Vrapçisht, Taravari assessed that the results so far in the 2026 elections represented a successful beginning for the National Alliance for Integration.
