A 66-year-old man from a village near Kochani reported to police that he had been defrauded by several people to whom he had given €18,000.

The case was reported on 24.09.2026, at around 11:00 p.m., to the Kochani Department of Internal Affairs.
According to his testimony, the individuals went to his home and persuaded him, through false claims, that there was black magic in the house. They asked him to hand over all the money he had, claiming that this would enable the magic to be removed.
After the 66-year-old gave them the sum of €18,000, the individuals left. He later realized that he had fallen victim to fraud.
The authorities are taking measures to fully investigate the case, the Shtip Sector for Internal Affairs announced.
