Balla published the video, presenting it as if the helicopter were putting out fires in Albania, while congratulating the firefighters on their work.
But what is the truth?
A fact-check conducted by Dosja.al shows that the video was not filmed in our country, but is connected to a fire in Ohio, USA.
The footage published by Balla is identical to a video that had previously been posted on social media, while the original version appears to have been published approximately four weeks earlier by Lisa Van Horne.
This video has no apparent connection to Albania or Albanian firefighters, but rather to the tireless work of American firefighters in Ohio.
While Balla could have taken a video showing the work of Albanian firefighters in the country, he chose to share footage recorded in the US and present it as an achievement of the Albanian government.
But the worst part is that this is not the first time Taulant Balla has made a “fake” post on his social media accounts.
Just a few days earlier, Balla took an image modified using artificial intelligence and published it as if it were from the “Flamingo Revolution” protest in Tirana.
This photo, too, was soon exposed as a manipulation of facts intended to undermine the protest that has shaken the foundations of the Rama government.
