A fire broke out around midday on Wednesday in the green area surrounding the city of Saranda.

The flames have been contained to a pine-covered area near the Monastery of the 40 Saints, raising concerns due to the terrain and dense vegetation.
After being alerted, firefighters arrived at the scene and are working to extinguish the blaze and prevent it from spreading to other parts of the forested area.
