Vehicles and travelers are subject to regular and detailed checks. The inspections focus on detecting and preventing attempts to smuggle goods, as well as identifying products that are prohibited or pose a danger to citizens.
Special attention is also paid to buses. On these vehicles, customs officers inspect luggage and the goods being transported, while checking whether there are monetary instruments or goods that must be declared or are prohibited under the legislation in force.
Trucks entering and leaving the territory of the Republic of Kosovo are also subject to physical and documentary checks. Through these verifications, officials examine the documentation, compare the goods with the customs declarations and check compliance with the legal requirements governing their movement.
