Among the injured is a 14-year-old who was taken to hospital for medical treatment.
Shuvaev said the overnight strikes damaged a building and a vehicle in the village of Koloskovo, part of the Valuysky district near the border with Ukraine.
These Ukrainian attacks occurred just one night after Russian officials reported what they described as the largest offensive launched by Ukraine this year. At least seven people were killed in that wave of strikes.
There were also casualties from Russian attacks on Ukraine that same night. Ukrainian authorities said at least seven people were killed and more than 39 others were injured.
In recent weeks, Moscow has stepped up missile strikes against targets in Ukraine, while Kyiv has intensified drone attacks inside Russian territory.
The two sides continue to blame each other for strikes affecting the civilian population.
