According to the VLEN Movement, cultural heritage is one of the most fundamental bases of identity and communication between nations. Events like the “Ohrid Summer” festival prove that art has the unique ability to bring people closer, beyond any differences.
The 66th edition of this prestigious international festival began grandly with the performance of the world-renowned Albanian soprano, Ermonela Jaho, accompanied by the sounds of the Opera and Ballet Orchestra. This opening gave special dignity to one of the most important cultural events in North Macedonia and beyond.

Beyond a simple festival, “Ohrid Summer” embodies a long tradition and a wealth that has been building bridges of cooperation between cultures, generations, and different peoples for years. Over its 40 days, the public will have the opportunity to enjoy around 50 artistic performances spanning classical music, jazz, ballet, and theater, gathering on a common stage over 700 artists from 24 countries around the world.
