The protesters’ main demand remains the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and his government. They are also calling for the formation of a transitional technical government with a 12-month mandate, which they say should guarantee a new political and institutional process.

Another demand raised during the protests concerns the repeal of several laws that protesters claim run counter to the national interest.

The diaspora has also joined the protests in Tirana over the past three days. Representatives and Albanian citizens who have arrived from abroad have taken part in the rallies, declaring their support for the protesters’ demands.

According to announcements made by the diaspora, participants who have arrived from abroad are expected to remain in Tirana until September 17.

The protest is expected to continue throughout today, while the organizers have reiterated that they will continue holding rallies until their demands are met.
