Strongly condemning the act, she said that violence against a woman and, even more so, taking her life cannot be justified by any circumstance, cause or relationship.

Gërvalla described violence against women as an alarm for society as a whole, in the face of which silence cannot be an option. According to her, the response must be clear and resolute: “ZERO TOLERANCE.”

She urged citizens not to remain silent when confronted with domestic violence, but to report every threat, instance of abuse or sign of violence.

“One phone call can save a life,” Gërvalla stressed, calling on people to act whenever they witness an incident of violence or notice signs that could put someone’s life at risk.

According to her, violence cannot be considered a “family matter,” as such cases require intervention and protection.

“Violence against women is an alarm for society as a whole. There is no room for silence in the face of it,” Gërvalla wrote.

In conclusion, she expressed her condolences to the victim’s family and relatives, emphasizing that their grief belongs to society as a whole.
