After days of sunshine and occasional instability, North Macedonia is facing a strong heat wave, which over the weekend is expected to spread across the entire country.

Today, clear and warm weather prevailed, with few to moderate clouds.
Tomorrow, sunny weather and high temperatures will continue, with few or moderate local clouds. In the afternoon, cloud cover is expected to increase in mountainous areas, creating a chance of brief showers and rare thunderstorms. The wind will be light to moderate and will blow from the northwest. In Skopje, sunny and warm weather is also forecast, accompanied by few to moderate clouds.
Starting Thursday, a mostly stable and very warm period begins. Minimum temperatures will range from 12°C to 21°C, while maximum temperatures will reach from 33°C to 39°C. On this day, light to moderate wind will blow from the southeast.
On Friday, August 21, another temperature rise is expected. Minimums will be recorded from 13°C to 22°C, while daytime maximums will vary from 34°C to 40°C.
The rise will continue on Saturday, August 22, when minimum temperatures will be from 14°C to 23°C. During the day, maximums will range from 35°C to 41°C.
Despite this, unstable conditions accompanied by strong winds, torrential rain, and storms are also expected. In some parts of the country, temperatures over the weekend may exceed 40 degrees Celsius.
