Over the past 24 hours, police across the country have detained 12 drivers suspected of the criminal offense of “reckless driving of a motor vehicle.”

Seven of them were caught driving without a driver’s license, and one of these drivers was a minor. Another driver was found driving under the influence of alcohol.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, three other drivers were intoxicated while driving, while two drove vehicles despite being subject to active driving bans.
Once the procedures have been completed and the cases documented, the relevant criminal charges will be filed against them.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs is urging all road users to comply with traffic regulations and not to drive without having passed the driving test, under the influence of alcohol, or while subject to a driving ban.
“Only through responsible behavior can we all contribute together to greater road safety,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs stressed.
