The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that the person who caused a traffic accident in Gostivar and then fled the scene has been detained.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on 02.07.2026, officers from the Gostivar Road Traffic Safety Police Station deprived F.I. (36) from the village of Vrutok, Gostivar, of his liberty.

He is suspected of having fled the scene after a traffic accident that had occurred earlier in Gostivar, where he had been driving a “Volkswagen Caddy” passenger vehicle with Gostivar license plates. Police later located him and, after the checks carried out, established that he was driving the vehicle without a driver’s license.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs said that, following the instructions of the public prosecutor, the driver was arrested, the vehicle was seized and, after the case is fully documented, the appropriate charges will follow.
