Commenting on the opposition’s demands for changes to the Electoral Code, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said they will approve all proposals, except for abolishing electronic voting for the diaspora, reports TV21. He also denied that he will be a candidate for president of the state in the 2029 election.
“I notice that speculation is circulating in public that my proposal to include the diaspora in electronic voting, starting with the 2029 presidential election, is linked to my intention to run for president. To put an end to these assumptions, I want to say clearly that I will not be a candidate. After my term as prime minister ends, I will return to the university, among students. I will not run for president, nor for head of state, because I have no ambition or desire for such a position,” Mickoski said.
