After receiving a report from local residents, teams from the Turkish Coast Guard Command immediately headed to the area and launched a search-and-rescue operation in open waters.
During the carefully conducted intervention by a Coast Guard vessel, the irregular migrant was found in the middle of the sea as he was trying to cross into Greek waters.
