Shaban Brika, who has drawn attention in recent days for carrying the Albanian flag at the protest outside the Prime Minister’s Office, told News24 that police had threatened him.
According to Brika, a police official warned him three or four times that he would be arrested for carrying the national flag during the protest. Brika said he was given no reason for the warnings and claimed that the officers held personal grudges against him.

He said he had missed the Albanian flag while living abroad, from 1992 until now. Brika said he had returned from England specifically to take part in the protest and wave the Albanian flag. According to him, the police think he is being paid to carry it.
