Berisha returns from the US: Meetings with the diaspora were inspiring, I found it much more powerful

Sali Berisha returned from the United States and spoke to reporters in Tirana today about his visit and the meetings held there.

He described the meetings with the diaspora as extraordinary and inspiring, saying they took him back to a period 35 years ago, when he and his friends sought the support of the diaspora and the United States to overthrow communism.

According to Berisha, this time the goal is to bring down a regime sustained by drugs and communist dogma. He also praised the irreplaceable role of the diaspora, saying that he found it 30 times more powerful, perhaps even more.

“A journey of renewal,” Berisha said.
