Albin Kurti, leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement, and Lumir Abdixhiku, leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo, are expected to meet again today to find an agreement on the election of Kosovo’s new president and overcome the political deadlock.

According to media reports, the meeting is scheduled to take place at 12:00.
The two leaders have met several times in recent days. The discussions have focused on finding a solution for the election of the president, as well as the possibility of avoiding new elections.
The latest conversation between Kurti and Abdixhiku was held on Saturday evening, but at its conclusion the parties provided no concrete information about what had been discussed.
Kurti briefly said that the news would be made public once there were results.
So far, neither side has confirmed whether agreement has been reached on the president’s name. For this reason, today’s meeting is seen as another attempt to reach a political agreement.
