Ardian Gjini, leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), announced that the party’s leadership has reviewed the current political developments and the institutional situation in the country.

In a statement posted on Facebook, he said the discussions focused on the political crisis and what he described as an “unprecedented institutional deadlock” in Kosovo.
“From the first days after voting ended, our position has been entirely constructive and supportive of establishing properly functioning institutions,” Gjini wrote.
According to him, the AAK has made a political proposal that could have helped resolve the institutional impasse. However, he claimed that the offer was not considered by the party that came first in the elections.
Gjini raised concerns over delays in constituting the Assembly, warning that Kosovo could face a further deepening of the institutional deadlock.
He also criticized the way the winning party is treating institutions and laws. He claimed that some of these actions are undermining institutional independence and the constitutional order.
According to Gjini, the current situation is also having consequences for the economy, healthcare and education, as well as Kosovo’s image on the international stage.
Concluding his statement, Gjini said the AAK would continue its political efforts to overcome the crisis and restore the normal functioning of institutions.
“The Alliance will remain committed to protecting our state-building project and will use every political opportunity to restore normality and development to the country,” he wrote.
