Maksim Dimitrievski, leader of the ZNAM Movement, stressed that the most appropriate choice for councilors and MPs who leave the political entity through which they obtained their mandate is to return it. He expressed this stance during a panel discussion held in Prilep.

Commenting on the case of the party’s sole representative in the Prilep Municipal Council, who chose an independent path, Dimitrievski recalled that she, like MP Mile Cekov, secured the position thanks to the support the electorate gave to the political formation.
According to the ZNAM chairman, the most ethical behavior would be to hand over the mandates to the party headquarters, since they are products of the party vote.
“She owes an explanation to her supporters with a candid account of the motives for this move. The most honest gesture would be for not only her, but also MP Mile Cekov to return the mandate to the political force that brought them to those positions. However, we are not burdening ourselves with this issue,” Dimitrievski said.
He also emphasized that the mission of the party caravan is to open direct communication channels with citizens. The aim is to hear both assessments and remarks, in order to increase the efficiency of the ZNAM Movement in its capacity as a member of the governing coalition.
