The chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Bedri Hamza, said shortly before the meeting at the Assembly of Kosovo with Vetëvendosje Movement leader Albin Kurti that the discussion should begin with priorities rather than the division of posts.
Asked whether there would be a solution for creating the new institutions, Hamza singled out partnership with allies as a key issue, along with raising wages and pensions.

“First, the priorities, because I ran with a program and I ran on several priorities. I did not run to have just four or five ministers, to have this or that position. I ran to have a good environment for business, to have partnership with our allies and friends, and to raise wages and pensions,” he said.
Meanwhile, for Friday, Kurti has also invited to a meeting the leader of the LDK, Lumir Abdixhiku, as well as the chairman of the Alliance, Ardian Gjini. The latter has rejected the invitation, while listing several of his demands, among them American gas in order to make the quorum for the president.
On Wednesday, the CEC certified the results of the June 7 elections. According to these results, the Vetëvendosje Movement emerged as the leading party with 47.13%, which translates into 53 seats in the Assembly. The Democratic Party of Kosovo ranked second with 19.44%, or 22 lawmakers. The Democratic League of Kosovo won 16.69% and 18 seats, while the Alliance received 6.74% and seven seats. Non-majority communities, on the other hand, have secured 20 seats.
