Mickoski warns of fuel price increases tomorrow

Hristijan Mickoski, the country’s prime minister, said that an increase in the price of petroleum derivatives is expected tomorrow, with diesel potentially rising by 2 to 2.5 denars, while gasoline could go up by approximately 1 denar.

According to him, despite this move, the country continues to have the cheapest fuels in the region. He stressed that this increase is linked to rising prices on international markets.

“According to our calculations, we had an increase in diesel last week on global exchanges of 5%-6%, and a small increase in gasoline of 2-3%. I expect an increase of 2-2.5 denars per liter of diesel and around 1 denar for gasoline, but let’s see the Regulatory Commission present the final figures,” Mickoski said, among other things.
