KFOR announced today that Italian and Bulgarian soldiers assigned to Regional Command-West (RC-W) took part in a live-fire exercise at the military training range near Camp “Villaggio Italia” in Peja.
According to KFOR, personnel from different countries were involved in the activity, with the aim of encouraging the exchange of professional experience and best practices, as well as strengthening interoperability among the participating units.

The statement emphasizes that through such exercises, KFOR personnel maintain high operational readiness and situational awareness, demonstrating their continued commitment to ensuring a safe environment for all residents of Kosovo.
KFOR also said that it continues to carry out its mandate, based on United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999, to contribute to a safe environment for all people living in Kosovo and to guarantee freedom of movement, at all times and in an impartial manner. The statement also says that KFOR closely coordinates its actions with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), in line with their respective roles as security responders.
