Skopje and a considerable part of North Macedonia were hit on Wednesday by heavy rainfall, which caused flooding in several urban and rural areas, as well as disruptions to traffic and problems with infrastructure.
Water covered several road sections after the intense rainfall, while in some municipalities difficulties were reported for vehicle movement and the sewage network was not functioning normally.

Authorities have urged citizens to be cautious and avoid unnecessary travel in the affected areas, as weather forecasts show that unstable weather conditions are expected to continue.
