The Director of the Road Police gave the media details from the scene where a serious accident involving a minibus on the Berat–Tirana route occurred.
According to officer Perlat Vatoci, the report of the incident was received at around 15:00. He explained that, preliminarily, the vehicle lost control, initially collided with the road divider and then went off the road.

As a result of this accident, he said, two people lost their lives, while 15 others were injured. One of the injured is in serious condition, while among them is also a child, who is reported to be in poor health.
Vatoci also stated that the initial suspicions are that the vehicle went out of control. He stressed that the minibus was licensed for the Berat–Tirana route and vice versa and that at the time of the accident it was traveling toward the capital.
Meanwhile, authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the full causes of this incident.
