Prime Minister Edi Rama has shared on Facebook a message that, according to him, is being circulated in protesters’ WhatsApp groups. The text mentions the prime minister’s resignation, the formation of a technocratic government, and how the protest should continue.
In an ironic tone, Rama says that “Tirons call these stories of the black crust of socio-political leftovers floating on the clean water of the protest ‘ondrra n’beze,’” as he urges followers to read for themselves the content that, according to him, is being discussed in these groups.

Tirons call these stories of the black crust of socio-political leftovers floating on the clean water of the protest ONDRRA N’BEZE, but please read for yourselves what a protester on the run sends me from the WhatsApp groups, where grand plans are apparently being made that speak for themselves about the level of the imaginary leaders of the “New Albania”
“Mr. Prime Minister! Don’t even think about resigning, and I’m telling you this as someone who doesn’t like you, but who, as a protester caught among all sorts of so-called intellectuals in WhatsApp groups, realized that you, O Ramses, are the lesser evil! Look at what delusions they have, and flamingos are not what these people are dealing with, they are a swinish breed that wants power too and amounts to nothing at all, oh God”

“1. I think the focus should be on non-negotiable resignation. We must not waste time asking for specific legal changes. Rama is a master of propaganda. If we ask for laws, he will tactically repeal them, say ‘I fulfilled your demands,’ and keep his chair. Resignation is the first and non-negotiable condition!
2. Unlike the lawyer’s position, going directly to early elections without creating a technocratic government is a trap. There is physically not enough time to create and register new parties from the ranks of the protest. A technocratic government freezes the system, guarantees impartiality, and gives new forces time (9-12 months) to organize on equal footing.
3. The President and the diplomatic corps (the US/EU embassies) must be informed immediately through an officially filed document. The internationals support legal procedures; when they see an official document, they recognize us as a state-building movement and not as a street revolt.
4. Opening the legal front (CEC & Constitutional Court). The request to amend the Constitution and the Law on Referendums must be prepared now. We have no time to lose. By submitting the request to the CEC, we open an official process with legal deadlines and create double pressure: the people in the street and the people with papers in hand signing in tents.
5. The census for population registration is the basis for preparing the new elections”
