A tanker was struck this Thursday by an unidentified rocket southeast of Oman, with the attack damaging the command bridge, according to a statement from the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO).
The British authority clarified that the incident was recorded about 7.5 nautical miles southeast of Dahit, Oman.

The UKMTO statement said that an unidentified projectile hit the starboard side of a cargo vessel, causing damage to the command bridge.
So far, no casualties or environmental consequences have been reported from this incident.
UKMTO also announced that the relevant authorities have opened an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the incident, while vessels operating in the area have been urged to exercise increased caution and report any suspicious activity.
