Former Kosovo government minister Meliza Haradinaj has reacted to the brutal killing of Arlinda Zekaj.
“The most painful paradox is that our state can arrange close protection for officials and politicians in record time when they are threatened, but cannot manage to protect women’s lives,” Haradinaj said, IndeksOnline reports.

She added that eight women have been killed in Kosovo in just 10 months, while, she said, there is still debate over whether the institutional head of the department responsible for citizens’ security should resign on political and moral grounds.
