Health Minister Arben Vitia announced that he has approved the decision to open a competition for specialist training, with a total of 313 places available.
According to Vitia, this is the fourth competition for specialist training to be opened in less than four years. The process focuses on specialties where there are shortages and on the needs of healthcare institutions in the regions.

Another new feature of this competition is that, for the first time, the Ministry of Health will fund 20 places for specialization in Family Medicine.
The assessment process will be conducted through a digital system. Candidates will enter their information online, and the platform will calculate their scores based on the criteria set out in the competition. After the Board reviews the results, each candidate will be able to see their score.
Vitia also announced that a separate competition for specialist training is expected to open in the coming days to address the needs of private healthcare institutions.
